Greetings Bright Listeners from the New Moon in Aries.
This next 13 month cycle of A Year & A Day began earlier in this month with a retelling of the Eastern European story of Vasilisa the Brave. We begin this journey with the season of the Maiden.
Around each full moon I will offer a story or two, then around the new moon a rich & generous collaborative audio offering with one, or many of women who continue to inspire, who’s voices are ripe for this world.
This podcast continues to be a free & paid experience. A great deal of heart, energy & techical faffing about go into each episode, so if you really dig what you hear here, please consider becoming a paid subscriber.
This new moon, friend and colleague, Elizabeth Jane Lovely and I sat down to connect and discover how Vasilisa’s story might want to move between us. Enjoy!
More about Elizabeth Jane…
Elizabeth Jane Lovely is an artist whose experimentation encompasses the written form, oral storytelling, ceremonial chant, and spell speaking, through ritual interaction. She is a Creative Arts Doctoral Researcher at Loughborough University and an English Cunning Woman of sorts. Her specialisms within and without the academy are centred around how we can cause kindly disruption through enchantment, the story as the activist, the essentiality of our bodily state as gateway to sacred creativity, and everyday imagination as change maker. She currently lives in the United Kingdom in a tiny county that does not always exist, regularly having to negotiate with the brambles and briars to access the rest of the human world.
